## Questions, answered.

Clear answers before you begin—from choosing an artist and submitting a consultation request to preparing for the studio and understanding what happens next.

No online request confirms a consultation or tattoo appointment. Your selected artist reviews the project first and contacts you directly.

How do I book?+

Choose an artist from the directory, review their work, and submit the detailed consultation request inside their individual website. The artist reviews the request before offering a consultation. Nothing is booked when you press submit.

What if I do not know which artist to choose?+

Use the Tattoo Nerds consultation hub and choose “Help Choosing an Artist.” The shop can review the project details and route the same request to the right artist.

Do you take walk-ins?+

Custom projects begin with an inquiry so the right amount of time can be planned. Contact the studio directly to ask about current walk-in availability.

How much will my tattoo cost?+

Pricing depends on size, detail, placement, and the number of sessions. Your selected artist will discuss scope and pricing after reviewing the project.

Can I send reference images?+

Yes. Add up to five reference images or include reference links with your consultation request. References should communicate subject, mood, or details you like; the final tattoo remains custom.

Do you work on large, multi-session pieces?+

Yes. Full sleeves, backpieces, and other large-scale projects are a core focus. The artist consultation covers composition and a realistic session plan.

What are the deposit and rescheduling policies?+

Tattoo Nerds has general standards for deposits, 48-hour notice, late changes, arrival, age, and safety. [Read the shop policies](https://tattoonerdssj.com/policies/), then review the selected artist’s policy page for project-specific terms.

Where is Tattoo Nerds located?+

2847 S White Rd, Suite 205, San Jose, CA 95148. Visits and tattoo sessions are generally arranged by consultation.

When should I complete the tattoo waiver?+

Complete the online waiver only after your tattoo appointment is confirmed. Studio staff will still verify your government-issued ID, final design, placement, health disclosures, and consent in person before tattooing begins.

Still unsure?
